First, a little sales pitch for regular maintenance. Maintenance means changing fluids and replacing worn-out parts as needed. For example, oil that isn’t changed when it is full of contaminants can circulate bad stuff throughout your engine. Expensive parts start to wear out and, all of a sudden, deferred maintenance can cause expensive problems. Instead of a $30 oil change you’re now paying $3,000 for a new engine. Ouch!
